Removing the expansion card risers

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
  2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system .
  3. Disconnect any cables connected to the expansion card.
  4. Remove the air shroud. For more information, see Removing the air shroud .

Steps

Hold the touch points, and lift the expansion card riser, from the riser connector, on the system board.

  • NOTE: For low profile riser right, first loosen the captive screw and then holding the touch points lift the riser away from the system.
